PSD Global Academy is a public K-12 hybrid school in Poudre School District. Students attend on campus two to three days per week and work online the remaining weekdays. I have the pleasure of supporting students and staff in a variety of ways, and I truly enjoy going in to work each and every day! During the pandemic school year of 2020-2021, I served as Interim Principal.
PSD Options is a K-8 program that serves homeschool families in northern Colorado. Parents remain the primary educator for their child, and students can experience and enjoy fun and engaging enrichment classes and opportunities to socialize with peers.
I served in this role with Poudre School District from August of 2011 through July of 2016. I supported teachers and students with effective implementation of technology to support student learning. The 2010 Mill Levy supported 1-1 laptops for students in grades 3-12 starting in the 2011 school year via a phased implementation. Although I focused on secondary math teachers and their classrooms, I enjoyed many opportunities supporting teachers of all subjects and students at all grade levels.
I started my employment in Poudre School District by teaching at Rocky Mountain High School, the school from which I had graduated only four years earlier. I enjoyed sharing my passion for mathematics and patterns with students for nine years. I taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Integrated Mathematics, College Algebra, and Precalculus, as well as concurrent enrollment College Algebra through CU Denver. I enjoyed sponsoring many clubs and student organizations, including National Honor Society, MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement), Science Olympiad, Knowledge Bowl. I also enjoyed seeing students compete athletically and score keeping for boys and girls basketball, gymnastics, soccer, and more.
